Joanna has been working as a privately commissioned artist and interior designer for over 35 years.
Joanna’s work has been featured in domestic and international magazines alike, and she was named one of the 12 Most Influential in Boston’s SCENE Magazine for her multi-faceted talent.
Joanna’s client list includes, but is not limited to, a variety of A-list restauranteurs, professional athletes, famous musicians, and cutting-edge companies. Expressions of her creativity range from nightclub design to European day spa healing interiors. Joanna has also entered into the entertainment space and is the set designer of the upcoming sci-fi, drama movie The Evolving Gate, whereby she also serves as an associate producer on the film as well.
Additionally, in one of Joanna’s most recent undertakings, she created the logo and other original artwork for JettSet1 Enterprises, Inc., as well as the can design of their forthcoming energy drink, all in collaboration with Erik Hicks. JettSet1 Enterprises, Inc. is a company co-founded by International Superstar and Business Mogul Flo Rida.
But Joanna’s creative expression is limitless, spanning from painting, sculpting, photography, and pottery, to interior design, clothing design, consulting, and even historical restoration work at the famous Clarendon Court Mansion in Rhode Island. But Joanna’s specialty is Custom Works of Art. In fact, when the prestigious world-renowned artist Norman Laliberté saw a piece of Joanna’s art, he exclaimed “I must have it!” and he also insisted that he meet the artist as well. Joanna never thought she would have the opportunity to meet him, much less be fortunate enough to be invited to his home, visit galleries with him, and hear his stories. She considered him a dear friend and cherishes the encouraging letters he wrote to her.
Throughout the years, Joanna has received various awards and acknowledgements. Being a proud native of Boston, a sampling of those include when Joanna received the “Excellence in the Art’s Award” from the Chamber of Commerce in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and when Joanna had a Sold-Out Solo Show at The Clock Tower Cultural Center Gallery, hosted by Joanne Hillman, demonstrating her ability to create unique art from Realism to Abstract.
Joanna attended the Art Institute of Boston (AIB), now named Lesley University.
Joanna currently resides in the greater Boston area, but will travel to accommodate her clients nationally and internationally as needed.
